How Do I Get Home?

What equipment do I need?
Where can I purchase the equipment?

Tow Car
The most common method is the tow car. This gives you the most flexibility to your own schedule after you make your delivery. The company will allow you to tow a small approved car behind the vehicles you are transporting. The weight limit on your vehicle should be no more than 3500 GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating). For towing capabilities the car should be either a manual transmission or have front wheel drive lockouts. There is no towing with a dolly behind any vehicle. Your tow vehicle will need to be fitted with hitch equipment to enable towing. This equipment can be purchased at a local hitch equipment dealer. There will also be additional equipment available that is needed such as lighting hookups and a universal hitch bar. A hitch bar can be purchased locally.
Can I tow my front wheel drive vehicle with all 4 wheels on the ground? Yes
Please click here to see how. Many motor home owners have front wheel drive vehicles that they use as their tow car and you can also.

Utility trucks will need to have a Universal Hitch Bar  This is a piece of equipment sold
by a local vendor that will enable you to connect to a commercial truck. The connection
will be directly on the rear chassis frame rail.
